Acer palmatum dissectum 'Tamukeyama' is a small, spreading Japanese Maple with elegant, cascading purple/red burgundy lacy leaves. The striking foliage colour persists from spring through summer, before transforming into vibrant fiery reds in autumn.

A mound forming Japanese Maple, Acer palmatum dissectum 'Tamukeyama' will grow to a height and spread of 2.5 x 4 metres in 20 years. It is suited to a moist, well-drained soil and sheltered position, preferably in dappled shade.

For the best foliage colour, plant this lacy-leaf Japanese maple in acidic soils although lime soils can be tolerated.
